no pain no gain

I have nothing very interesting to say today just want to move on from that last post.

It’s the holidays and my daughters are with their Dad until this afternoon when First-Born goes back to Uni and her driving test (all cross your fingers and if you have a favourite deity please pray for her success) and Baby-Girl is returned to me while I visit the Chiropractor again! She came with me last time and was quite taken with the whole painful experience – I think she thinks that this time she can have a go at a bit of bone cracking.
I must be mad eh? But Himself has paid for a course of treatment therefore I must endure and be grateful. Which I am. Naturally.

What he doesn’t know is tomorrow I am looking at another horse. I may be more circumspect about the test drive this time and I am also taking a jockey in the form of a friend – she hasn’t had a fall for ages and spent far too long laughing at my tender parts. She can do the fast bits. I shall report back on my success at staying in the saddle – please wish me luck.

Another gardening question now we’re all agreed more or less that that other thing was ground elder /alder, a weed anyway.

What’s this spotty stuff please?

Those spots by the way are almost silver.

Poor Murph

Ha - serves him right!

mad sad and bad

Of course yesterdays post was completely fictitious. Except the bit about being off work that was true (the cold had move south and infection had moved in). And the bit about wanting to kill someone, that’s true. But I didn’t go to the pub (although those usual suspects are usually in there and they do all wear barbours and green wellies, sadly even me). I would not be brave enough to go into a pub on my own. Isn’t that a pitiful fact to admit to at my great age?

Anyway the whole looking for a hit man was a product of my fevered mind, an overdose of cough medicine and wishful thinking. And of course the fact that I need to come to terms with the fact I actually hate someone. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so strongly about anyone before except by loving them (not the same them obviously). It’s true what they say; hate is the flip side of love, same strength anyway. I would never have believed this before.

Now this is a person I am going to have to come in contact with for quite a long, loong time so I need a neutralising strategy. Obviously I can’t actually bump them off (although tempted). So how can I feel differently?

Answers on a post card please and first correct one out of the hat will receive a brilliant virtual prize!

these are my babies, I love them
and Himself of course
and Himself's babies
but not his ex (this is a clue)

Mrs

The rain has been raining since the snow ceased. At first it froze, but now it is mud.
It is very little mud compared to the very unfortunate people of Brazil and Sri Lanka and Queensland to whom my heart goes out, and in comparison very little to complain about, but today it came over the top of my wellies.

It was not nice...

and it's still raining.

I don't have longer wellies.

That's all.
